California arrest: guilty of driving under the influence?

Most California sports fans have probably read or heard about the recent arrest of NBC announcer, Al Michaels. Mr. Michaels was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after it appeared that he avoided a DUI checkpoint by making an illegal u-turn. After he was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, he was held for approximately five hours before being released.

California woman killed: Driving under the influence to blame?

A tragic accident has claimed the life of a 19-year-old California woman. The woman was a passenger in a vehicle that flipped after the driver apparently lost control. Three other passengers were taken to the hospital with what were listed as non-life threatening injuries. The driver, a 20-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Man facing California DUI charges for fifth offense

A 43-year-old transient man is facing DUI charges after being pulled over for going 10 mph in California. This would mark his fifth offense. His 47-year-old passenger, who is also a transient, was arrested for public intoxication and violation of probation. The 43-year-old was pulled over by a county sheriff's deputy, who reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol at that time. Ultimately, however, the Sonora Police Department handled arresting the man on DUI charges.

Most famous for his sometimes-rocky marriage to deceased singer Whitney Houston, Brown starred in several television shows and had a music career of his own. Now, he is in the headlines for his conviction in a case of driving under the influence.
