DUI charges aren't the only charges a California woman is facing

A California woman is facing a slew of charges in connection with a recent incident in an apartment parking lot. She is facing DUI charges and making criminal threats. She was also suspected of negligently discharging a firearm.

The incident began when a man witnessed the California woman driving into a sign in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Lancaster. According to reports, the two ended up in a physical confrontation as the man attempted to stop the woman from driving out of the parking lot. During the struggle, the man dropped a firearm. What happened next is unclear and still under investigation.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's office in Lancaster says the gun went off at this point. Authorities are still not sure whether the woman was holding the gun at the time it went off. It was pointed out that the man carrying the gun was doing so legally. As luck would have it, there were several sheriff deputies that were off duty at a party nearby. When they heard the shot, they responded to the scene as well.

It will be up to the state to prove not only the DUI charges, but also the other charges currently filed against the defendant. Due to the fact that the woman is facing potentially serious consequences if she is convicted, she can only benefit from seeking out a full understanding of the legal implications of the charges against her. As with any other individual accused of a crime in our state, this woman has the right to challenge any evidence offered by the state and to confront any witnesses that may be called to testify against her.
