Underage boy faces felony DUI charges in California car accident

Just because an individual is under the age of 18 does not mean that they will not face serious penalties as a result of a California car accident, if it is found that the underage individual was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. A 17-year-old is facing serious penalties for allegedly crashing his parent's SUV while under the influence. As a result of the crash, five occupants suffered injuries, which resulted in felony DUI charges.

DUI charges likely following head-on fatal Placer County crash

The California Highway Patrol has suggested that drunk driving was behind a fatal three vehicle collision that took place in Placer County recently. Though details of the crash are scarce, it is known that the collision occurred shortly before 6:20 a.m. on Sierra College Boulevard, not far from the city of Lincoln. Two minivans and a pickup truck were involved, and one of the minivan drivers is potentially facing DUI charges and perhaps additional criminal counts.

Alameda County man accused of driving under the influence

An Alameda County man was arrested recently following an accident in which, according to law enforcement authorities, he crashed a car into a power pole. The Hayward man reportedly was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence following the collision with the power pole. The accident occurred near the border between San Leandro and San Lorenzo at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Via Alamitos. An investigation is ongoing.

Bobby Brown facing DUI charges in California for a second time

California is strict about suspected DUI and those who become the target of such suspicion may want to ensure that they have a solid defense in place early on. As most of our readers know, celebrities often are the target of media attention for everything from clothing choices to traffic tickets. One recent story reports that Bobby Brown was recently been arrested on DUI charges for the second time this year, this time for suspicion of drunk driving.
