Truck driver faces DWI charges after California accident

A truck driver is facing criminal charges for his alleged role in a two vehicle accident. According to California police, the DWI charges stem from an accident that occurred in the morning hours. At that time, an 18-wheeler operated by a 50-year-old man lost control and traveled up an embankment. Police have alleged that the man was unable to control his truck due to intoxication.

Motorcycle driver suspected of DUI in Contra Costa County

There are many factors that can contribute to an accident on California roadways. Often times, police are suspicious of drunk driving even before they have evidence to that end. Recently, police arrested a person who they suspect of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after the motorcycle two people were riding on crashed. The accident happened on Interstate 680 in Contra Costa County just after 10 p.m. The driver now faces DUI charges, though it was not precisely clear which of the two riders was actually operating the bike.

California man suspected of driving under the influence

A 62-year-old California man has been arrested following a collision with a cable car in San Francisco. According to reports, the accident occurred close to Union Square at Geary and Powell streets. The man's SUV allegedly collided head-on with the cable car. Police have arrested him under suspicion that he was driving under the influence.

Police officers routinely end up participating in the court system after they arrest civilians for alleged drunk driving. Anyone who faces DWI charges knows their future depends heavily on the outcome of any criminal proceedings.
